Changing Your Email Message Editor

You have the option of composing your Web-Based Email message using plain text, meaning you cannot format the text, or, if you have Internet Explorer 5.5 or later, you can compose it in the Rich Text (HTML) Editor so that you can format the text. The default option is to compose messages using the Rich Text Editor.

In your Composing preferences, you can specify whether you want to use the HTML Editor or Plain Text Editor. You can also change your editor while composing an email message, which changes your editor only for that email message. For more information on setting your editor, see Setting Composing Preferences.

To Change Your Email Message Editor While Composing a Message

  1. Click Compose.
  2. If you are using the Rich Text Editor, click the Plain Text tab.
    or
    If you are using the Plain Text Editor, click the Rich Text tab
  3. Continue composing your email message.
