A registrant account change for .ca domains removes the .ca domain from the Preset Profile in your account and places the .ca domain in a Preset Profile in another registrant's account. To complete the process for moving the domain to another account, the new registrant must have an account with the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) and must follow the set of instructions we sent them through email.

To Initiate a Registrant Account Change for a .CA Domain

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Domains.
  3. Click the .ca domain.
  4. Click Change CIRA Registrant Account, and then complete the following:
    Registrant Number
The domain number associated with the account, as listed in the domain's Whois information.
    Name on Registrant Account
The name associated with the registrant account.
  5. Click OK.

NOTE: A change of Registrant fee may apply.
