Creating Custom Questions for the Sign-up Form

You can customize your questions for potential subscribers, instead of using the standard questions Express Email Marketing provides.

To Create Custom Questions for the Sign-up Form

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Express Email Marketing.
  3. On the Express Email Marketing page, click Open Express Email Marketing for the account you want to modify.
  4. Click Opt-In Magnet, then click Build Sign-Up Form.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Under Custom Questions, click the Create hyperlink.
  7. In the Question Text field, enter the text of your question.
  8. From the Question Type list, select the type of question.
  9. Text
    The respondent types in a response.
    Number
    The respondent enters a number.
    Date
    The respondent enters a date. (You may want to specify the date format in your question, such as 01/01/2000 or 2007-12-31.)
    Phone Number
    The respondent enters a date. (You may want to specify the phone number format in your question, such as (123) 456-7890 or 123-456-7890.)
    Multi (CheckBox)
    The respondent checks a box or boxes. For the Multi type, enter the different options available for the respondent. Useful for multiple response questions.
    List (DropDown)
    The respondent selects from a dropdown list. For the List type, enter the different options available for the respondent. Useful for selecting a single response from multiple options.
  10. Click Add.
