Adding Flash Files to a Web Page

With WebSite Tonight, you can add a flash file to your Web page. Before you can add a flash file to your Web page, you must upload the file. For more information, see Uploading Files.

Caution: You cannot add flash to the HTML tab in the content block.

To Add a Flash File to a Web Page

NOTE: These instructions are for .SWF files only

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. From the Design menu, click Page Designer .
  3. If necessary, from the Select Page list, select the page you want to edit.
  4. Click the block you want to edit. Blocks are outlined in blue.
  5. Position your cursor where you want to add your flash file.
  6. From the Toolbox, select Tables & Objects.
  7. From Tables & Objects, move your mouse over Insert Object, then select Flash. The Create Flash Item window displays.
  8. To select a file, select Select a Flash File, and then select the file from the list. If you have not uploaded the file, you can do the following:
    • Click the Browse button, and then locate and open the file.
    • Click Upload Files.
  9. To use a flash file from another Web site, select Enter the URL to the Flash File, and then enter the URL where the file resides.
  10. Click the Properties button.
  11. In the Width and Height fields, specify the width and height of the file.
  12. From the Background Color field, click the color swatch, select the color you want to use for the background, and then click OK.
  13. Click OK.
