Setting up the T-Mobile G1 with POP or IMAP Email

Add Email Accounts
- From the Home screen, tap the grey Application button.
- Tap Email.
- Tap Next.
- If not already open, slide out the keyboard.
- Enter the full email address as the and password.
- Tap Next.
- Tap POP3 Account or IMAP Account
Click here for IMAP
- If not pre-filled, input username (full email address) and password.
- Input IMAP server imap.secureserver.net.
- Tap the dropdown for Security type and choose SSL (if available).
- Nothing is necessary for the IMAP path prefix.
- Tap Next.
- At Outgoing server settings, enter smtpout.secureserver.net as the SMTP server.
- Skip to Security type and choose SSL (if available) from the drop-down.
- Check Require sign-in.
- Enter Username and Password.
- Tap Next.
- Choose desired settings at Account Settings.
- Choose additional settings on the Set up email page and click Done.
Click here for POP
- If not pre-filled, input username (full email address) and password.
- Input IMAP server pop.secureserver.net.
- Tap the drop-down for Security type and choose SSL (if available).
- Enter a preference on whether or not to Delete email from the server:
- Tap Next.
- At Outgoing server settings, enter smtpout.secureserver.net as the SMTP server.
- Skip to Security type and choose SSL (if available) from the drop-down.
- Check Require sign-in.
- Enter Username and Password.
- Tap Next.
- Choose desired settings at Account Settings.
- Choose additional settings on the Set up email page and click Done.
