To Set Up Apple Mail for SMTP Relay
- From the Mail menu, click Preferences.
- In the Preferences window, click Accounts.
- In the Account window, click Account Information.
- From the Account Type list, select POP.
- In the Description field, type a name for the account.
- In the Email Address field, type your email address.
- In the Full Name field, type your full name.
- In the Incoming Mail Server field, type pop.secureserver.net.
- In the User Name field, type your user name (your full email address).
- In the Password field, type the password to your email account.
- In the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) menu, pull down the menu and select Edit Server List. This will open the Server list window.
- Click Account Information.
- In the Description field, type a name for the SMTP Relay.
- In the SMTP Server Name field type smtpout.secureserver.net.
- Click Advanced.
- In the Server Port field, type 80 or 3535.
- From the Authentication menu select Password.
- In the User Name field, type your SMTP user name.
- In the Password field, type your SMTP password.
- Click OK.
