Managing Password Protection for Your Site

Here's the Lowdown If a page on your site is password protected, visitors need to enter a user name and password before they can view it.
You can password protect individual pages with different user names and passwords, use the same user name and password for one or more pages, or choose to disable previously set password protection.
NOTE: You can password protect any page with the exception of .mobi pages, your home page, and the Flash introduction.
Specify Different User Names and Passwords Per Page
- Log into your WebSite Tonight account.
- From the Manage menu, click Password Protection.
- Select Specify different user names and passwords for each selected page.
- Click the check box next to the page(s) you want to protect.
- In the User name and Password fields next to the page(s) you want to protect, enter the user names and passwords you want to use.
- Click OK.
Use One User Name and Password
- Log into your WebSite Tonight account.
- From the Manage menu, click Password Protection.
- Select Specify one user name and password for all selected pages.
- In the Password Protection area, click the checkbox next to the pages you want to password protect.
- In the User name and Password fields, enter the user name and password you want to use.
- Click OK.
Removing Password Protection
By default WebSite Tonight does not password protect pages.
- Log into your WebSite Tonight account.
- From the Manage menu, click Password Protection.
- Do one of the following:
- Select Do not protect pages.
- Clear the checkbox(es) in front of the page(s) you no longer want to password protect.
- Click OK.
