Downloading a Stored Back-up File
Your back-up file is placed in the _db_backups folder on the root level of your hosting account. There are several methods for downloading your back-up file to your local drive.
Download Using an FTP Client
Using an FTP client, you can download your stored back-up file. To perform this task using your own FTP client, locate the file in the _db_backups folder on the root level of your hosting account, and copy it to your local drive.
To Download the Stored Back-up File Using the Hosting Control Center Web-Based FTP Client
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, select Hosting Account List.
- Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Manage Account.
- In the Content section of the Hosting Control Center, click the FTP Client icon.
- If a security certificate window displays, click Yes or Trust to accept the certificate and open the FTP program.
- Locate the database file in the _db_backups folder on the root level of your hosting account (in the right window) and, using the arrows in the middle of the FTP client, transfer it to your local system (in the left window).
Download From Last Backup
Once a back-up file has been saved, you can download it from the Hosting Control Center Database Details Page. The back-up file is password protected with your current Web statistics password.
To Download the Stored Back-up File Using the Last Backup Link
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Select Hosting in the My Products section.
- Click Manage Account next to the hosting account you want to modify.
- In the Databases section of the Hosting Control Center, click the icon of the database type you're working with.
- Click the pencil icon next to the database file you would like to download. The Server Details page will display.
- Click the name of your back-up file next to Last Backup.
- You will be prompted to choose a location on your local drive to save the file.
Note: The Last Backup link of your database filename only appears following a successful backup or restore of the file. If an error occurs during the process, no link displays. Additionally, the link is only available until you initiate another backup or restore of that database.
