Creating a Google Webmaster Tools Account
We have partnered with Google to provide you with a special Webmaster Tools account you can use to immediately access your Web site data upon creation of your Shared Hosting account. Once you have enabled Google Webmaster Tools, you can access crawl statistics, recent queries, errors, and other information that Google has collected about your site.
Creating a Google Webmaster Tools Account with a New Hosting Account
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, select Hosting.
- Click Setup Account next to the hosting account you want to manage.
- Read the End User License Agreement, and then click Accept.
- On the Account Setup page in the Hosting Control Center, select the domain name you want to use for this hosting account.
- Select which version of ASP.Net Runtime (Windows) or PHP Version (Linux) you would like to use.
- Ensure the Google Webmaster Tools option is Enabled.
- Create a User ID and Password for this hosting account. This is the User ID and password that you will use to connect to your hosting account using an FTP client. This is also the User ID and Password that you will use to access your free Web Statistics page.
- Click Continue.
- Verify your account information. If everything is correct, click Submit.
Your Google Webmaster Tools Account is created.
Setting up Google Webmaster Tools with an Existing Hosting Account
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, select Hosting.
- Click Manage Account next to the hosting account you want to manage.
- Click the Google Webmaster Tools icon in the Content Section. This step opens the Google Webmaster Tools screen.
- Click Enable.
NOTE: Because your Google Webmaster Tools domain list will contain all of the domains associated with the account, it has the potential to be quite long. Therefore, Webmaster Tools includes standard paging and sorting controls for easy navigation of domains.
All domains associated with this hosting account are listed.
For assistance verifying ownership of your domains with Google, see Verifying Domains with Google® Webmaster Tools.
NOTE: Once you enable Google Webmaster Tools for one Shared Hosting account, it is enabled for all additional Shared Hosting accounts you have, and all domains in each account are verified. However, you must visit the Google Webmaster Tools page in each additional account to complete the enabling process for those accounts.
