With Quick Blogcast, you can easily add meta tags to your site. Meta elements provide information about a given web page, most often to help search engines categorize them correctly. They are inserted into the HTML document, but are not directly visible to visitors.

To promote your Web site on the Internet, enter concise and explicit Meta data content for your Web pages. With Quick Blogcast, you can create custom Meta tags to include additional information.

NOTE: For information about meta tags, see W3Schools HTML Meta Data.

To Add Meta Tags

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Blog menu, click Settings.
  5. Go to the Meta tab.
  6. You can enter meta tag information in the following fields:
    Description
Describes the Web page and explains content.
    Keywords
Keywords are important terms and key phrases. These can be words typically entered into a search engine to find your page. It is recommended that your keywords are separated by a comma.
  7. To add a custom meta tag, click Add Tag, then complete the following fields:
    Name
The name of the meta Tag
    Content
The value of the meta Tag
  8. Click Apply.

NOTE: You may also create a meta tag that prevents search engines from indexing your web site (meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow").
