1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the My Products section, click Quick Shopping Cart.
3. On the Quick Shopping Cart page, click Open next to the Quick Shopping Cart account you want to use.
4. From the Promotions menu, click Coupons.
5. From the Tasks menu, click Add New Coupon.
6. In the Coupon Details section, enter the required information for the coupon.

   Code

   Enter the coupon code that the shopper must enter to redeem the coupon when they check out. This is a required field. This value must be unique to the storefront and must be a maximum of 10 characters including numbers, letters, and dashes.

   Description

   Enter the details of the use of the coupon. This is a required field. The description must be a maximum of 40 characters including numbers, letters, spaces, and special characters.

   Status

   Select the current availability (Active or Inactive) of the coupon.

   Type

   Select the type of coupon, such as Dollars off (Amount), Percent off, or Free Shipping, and then enter the discount. This is a required field.

   Amount

   Item prices are subtotaled, and then the coupon amount is subtracted from the subtotal to get a discounted subtotal.

   Tax, if any, is calculated on the discounted subtotal.

   Shipping charges, if any, are added at the end to get an order total.

   Percent

   Item prices are subtotaled, and then the percentage off amount is calculated from the subtotal and subtracted from the subtotal to get a discounted subtotal.

   Tax, if any, is then calculated on the discounted subtotal.

   Shipping charges, if any, are added to the order total.

   Free Shipping & Handling

   Item prices are subtotaled, and the tax, if any, is calculated on the subtotal.

   Shipping charges are then calculated and added to the item subtotal so the shopper can see what the shipping charge is.

   The shipping charge is then subtracted, and the taxed subtotal is equal to the order total.

   Minimum Purchase

   Enter the minimum purchase amount for a customer to apply this coupon (optional).

   Valid Dates

   The dates for which the use of this coupon is allowed. This is a required field. You must either enter a date range or select Always Valid.

   NOTE: You can click the calendar icon to easily select specific dates. In the Select Date window, click the month and year to select a specific period, the forward/backward arrows to move one month at a time, or click a specific day, and then click Select.

   Maximum Number of Uses

   Enter the maximum number of uses for this coupon (can be set to Unlimited). If Limited To is selected, the coupon code is no longer valid once the number of uses has been reached. This value is per coupon, not per customer.

   Comments

   Enter any comments regarding this coupon or its use in this text field.

7. Click Save.

You can copy a coupon to create a new coupon based on the selected coupon.

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the My Products section, click Quick Shopping Cart.
3. On the Quick Shopping Cart page, click Open next to the Quick Shopping Cart account you want to use.
4. From the Promotions menu, click Coupons.
5. In the coupon list, under Actions, click the Copy icon next to the coupon you want to copy.
6. The Coupon Details page opens for the new coupon. All of the fields and selections are identical to the original coupon with the exception of the Code field, which is blank.
7. Enter a new Coupon Code. (You can also make any other changes necessary at this time.)
8. Click Save.

You can make changes to your coupons at any time.

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the My Products section, click Quick Shopping Cart.
3. On the Quick Shopping Cart page, click Open next to the Quick Shopping Cart account you want to use.
4. From the Promotions menu, click Coupons.
5. In the coupon list, under Actions, click the Edit icon next to the coupon you want to modify.
6. The Coupon Details page opens for the coupon.
7. Make any changes necessary at this time, and then click Save.

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the My Products section, click Quick Shopping Cart.
3. On the Quick Shopping Cart page, click Open next to the Quick Shopping Cart account you want to use.
4. From the Promotions menu, click Coupons.
5. To search for an existing coupon, under the Tasks menu, click Search Coupon.
6. In the Search for Coupons section, select the criteria by which you want to search for coupons.

   Type

   Coupons of a specified type.

   Coupon Code

   Coupons based on a full or partial coupon code.

   Description

   Coupons based on a full or partial description.

   Status

   Coupons with a specified status.

   Expiration

   Coupons with a specified expiration date.

7. Click Search.

You can delete a coupon at any time.

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the My Products section, click Quick Shopping Cart.
3. On the Quick Shopping Cart page, click Open next to the Quick Shopping Cart account you want to use.
4. From the Promotions menu, click Coupons.
5. In the coupon list, under Actions, click the Delete icon next to the coupon you want to remove.
6. A confirmation message opens, verifying that you want to delete the selected coupon.
7. Click OK to delete the coupon.

When you delete a coupon, its record is deleted from the database. Therefore, the coupon code is not accepted if it is entered at checkout, and the coupon no longer displays as an entry in the Coupon Manager screen. If you want to keep the coupon but make it unavailable to shoppers, you can change the status to Inactive.

You can only add a coupon for Free Shipping if you select one or more shipping options. For more information, see Providing Shipping Options.

To Add Free Shipping Coupons

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the My Products section, click Quick Shopping Cart.
3. On the Quick Shopping Cart page, click Open next to the Quick Shopping Cart account you want to use.
4. From the Promotions menu, click Coupons.
5. Click Add New Coupon and then complete the following information.
   1. In the Code field, specify the coupon code.
   2. In the Description field, enter a description of the coupon.
   3. From the Status list, specify whether you want the coupon to be Active or Inactive.
   4. From the Type area, select Free Shipping & Handling, and then select a shipping option.
   5. If you enabled Custom Shipping Options, from the Coverage Outside US area, allow free shipping to Canada and APO/FPO addresses by selecting the checkboxes for those options. To prevent free shipping for those addresses, clear the checkboxes. For more information about custom shipping, see Setting Custom Options for Price-based Shipping or Setting Custom Options for Weight-based Shipping.
   6. From the Minimum Purchase area, do one of the following:
      • To specify a minimum amount that qualifies for free shipping, select Amount, and then specify the minimum amount.
      • To exclude price limits on free shipping, select Not Required.
   7. From the Valid Dates area, specify the date range the coupon is eligible for use, or select Always valid.
   8. From the Maximum Number of Uses area, do one of the following:
      • To allow an unlimited number of transactions with the coupon, select Unlimited Uses.
      • To limit the number of transactions with the coupon, select Limited to, and then specify the number of times the coupon can be used.
   9. In the Comments field, enter comments regarding the coupon, if any.
6. Click Save.
