A Subscriber Agreement is a contract between the Certification Authority (CA) and the certificate owner.

In order for the CA to issue a signed Premium SSL certificate, the certificate applicant must submit a Subscriber Agreement signed by an authorized contract signer acting on behalf of the certificate applicant.

The Subscriber Agreement must:

  • Specifically name the certificate applicant
  • Specifically name the contract signer
  • Specifically confirm that the applicant has exclusive use of the domain name applicable to the certificate request.
  • Include a clear and readable signature of the specifically named contract signer.
