About .VOTE Domain Names
The .vote domain name creates an online space for pollsters and voters alike to communicate about patterns and trends in the polls. The .vote extension can also be used for businesses and other groups to issue surveys and questionnaires to assess their valuation in the market as well as customer service levels.
Pre-Registration Information
General Availability
Beginning February 10, 2015 at 17:00 UTC, customers can pre-register .vote domain names on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bulk .vote registration is supported during General Availability.
Multiple applications that are pre-registered with different registrars prior to February 10, 2014 will be resolved on a first-come, first-served basis at the opening of General Availability. If you aren't able to secure the domain name, we'll refund the registration fee.
NOTE: If you are awarded the domain name, you have 5 days to cancel your domain name and get a refund of the registration fee.

Who can register .vote domain names?
To register a .VOTE domain name, you will be asked to agree in the Domain Registration Agreement the .VOTE eligibility requirements. If your domain names contains the name of an individual or organization, then you will agree that:
- You are legally authorized to buy the domain names on behalf of the named individual or organization, and
- You will use the domain names to support the named individual or organization. If you violate either #1 or #2, your domain names may be suspended or deleted.
These domain names can have up to 63 characters, with a minimum of one character, and can contain letters (a-z), numbers (0-9) and hyphens (except in the 3rd or 4th characters of the domain name). You cannot register domain names with special characters such as & and #. IDNs will not be supported for .vote.
Which registry controls .vote domain names?
Afilias is the sponsor and the backend provider for the .vote extension.
For how long can I register .vote domain names?
You can register a .vote domain name for a minimum of one year and a maximum of 10 years.
When do .vote domain names renew?
Your .vote domains will be auto-renewed on their expiration date and will be parked after the first failed billing attempt. If the domain name is not renewed within 40 days of expiration, it will be cancelled.
Can I transfer .vote domain names to my account with you?

Can I add privacy and protection to .vote domain names?
No. Domains by Proxy Private Registration and Protected Registration are not offered at this time.

No. We currently do not support the backorder of .vote domain names.

Are there nameserver requirements for my .vote domain names?
Two nameservers are required for .vote domains to resolve, and a maximum of 13 nameservers is allowed. IPv4, IPv6, vanity nameservers and DNSSEC are supported.
