Backing up Your Domain in Plesk

If you have FTP Backup enabled on your dedicated server, you can use Plesk to back up your domains to the FTP Storage, otherwise you can backup your domains locally or on the server.
To Configure Your FTP Server Settings in Parallels Plesk Panel
- Log in to Plesk as admin.
- Select the Webspace you are using.
- Go to the Websites & Domains tab.
- Select Backup Manager.
- Click Personal FTP Repository Settings.
- Enter the FTP Server IP Address for your FTP Backup Server.
- Enter Directory location on the FTP Server to store backup.
- Enter the Username and Password for the FTP Backup Server.
- Click OK.
NOTE: You can find the IP address, user name, and password for your FTP Backup server in your Dedicated/Virtual Private Server (VPS) Manager.
To Backup Your Domain in Plesk
- Log in to Plesk as admin.
- Select the Webspace you are using.
- Go to the Websites & Domains tab.
- Select Backup Manager.
- Click Back Up.
- Select where you want to store the backup: either Server Repository or Personal FTP Repository.
- Enter your Email if you want an email once it completes.
- Select whether or not you want the backup to include content.
- Select if you want the domain suspended during backup or not. (If selected and backup fails or takes longer than expected, your site will stay suspended and not accessible to visitors.)
- Click Back Up.
