You can set the maximum amount of idle time allowed for remote desktop connections.
To Set Timeout Options for Remote Desktop Connections
- Log in to your IIS server using Remote Desktop. For more information, see Connect via Remote Desktop (RDC) to your Windows server.
- Once logged into Remote Desktop open the Start menu, navigate to All Programs, then Administrative Tools, then Remote Desktop Services and then open the Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration menu.
- In the Connections area, right click RDP-Tcp then Properties.
- Click the Sessions tab.
- Specify the values you want to use.
