Resetting Your Server's Password

If you forgot your server's password, we can help you reset it.
NOTE: If you know your password and want to change it, see Changing Your Server's Password.
To Reset Your Server Password
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Servers.
Click one of the following based on the type of management interface your server uses (more info).
Gateway
- Next to the server you want to use, click Manage.
- Click Access.
- Enter and confirm the password you want to use, and then click Save.
Hosting Control Panel
- Next to the server you want to use, click Manage.
If you forget a dedicated server's password (i.e. not a VPS), we can provide it to you over the phone. Please call the Support number listed on our help page.
- In the Support section, select Reset Password.
- Enter your new password. Allow the system up to 30 minutes for the change to take effect.
