About .sg Domain Names
The .SG country-code top-level domain name (ccTLD) is an extension that represents Singapore. Who can register .SG domain names?
.SG is the official country code Top-Level-Domain (ccTLD) of Singapore.
To purchase a .SG domain name, you must live in Singapore, be a citizen of the country and have a "Foreign Identification Number" (FIN).
Which registry controls .SG domain names?
SGNIC is the registry for .SG domain names.
Registrants do not have the right to sell or transfer the domain name to any party for profit.
For how long can I register .SG domain names?
Registration is limited to 1 and 2 years. Bulk purchasing is supported.
There is no registration grace period.
When do .SG domain names renew?
Renewals are allowed at any time as long as the current domain registration length is less than 2 years and the total registration length does not go past 3 years.
There is no manual renewal or auto-renewal grace period.
Can I transfer .SG domain names to my account with you?
Currently, transfers in are not allowed. Transfers out are allowed.
How do I transfer .SG domain names from you to another registrar?
You must initiate the transfer through your new registrar. The transfer requires an authorization code.
Can I add privacy and protection to .SG domain names?
No. We are not offering Domains By Proxy®, Private Registration, Protected Registration, Business Registration, Deluxe Registration and DBP because of the trustee requirement.
Can I backorder .SG domain names?
No. We do not currently support the backorder of .SG domain names.
Can I move a .SG domain name to another account with you?
Can I update the contact information for .SG domain names?
Yes, but it requires an escalation to the ccTLD Team. Please submit a contact update request to cctldprocessing@secureserver.net.
Are there nameserver requirements for my .SG domain names?
Yes. The number of nameservers required in order for a domain to resolve is 2 and the maximum length of a nameserver name is 255 characters, including the domain name.
What is the refund policy for .SG domain names?
We do not support refunds upon cancellation for .SG domains at this time (registration, auto-renewal and manual renewal).
