Retrieving Your Customer Number or Resetting Your Password
To sign in to your account, you need your customer number and password. If you cannot remember your customer number or password, you can use our Account Assistance to obtain the information necessary to access your account. You can access the system by clicking Sign In, and then Forgot your password? on our home page.
From the Account Assistance, you can use the following options:
- See my password hint — Displays your password hint.
- Reset my password — Sends an authorization code to the email address associated with the account.
- Retrieve my customer number — Sends your customer number to the email address associated with the account.
To Retrieve Your Customer Number
- From the account log in page, click Retrieve My Password.
- Click Retrieve my Customer#.
- Complete the following, and then click Submit:
- My: Select a type of product in your account.
For example, Domain Name. - is: Enter the domain name or information that product type uses.
For example, coolexample.com. - Email address on file: Enter the email address on your account.
- Enter the security access code displayed.
- My: Select a type of product in your account.
We send a message that contains your customer number to the email address associated with your account.
To Retrieve Your Password Hint
- From the account log in page, click Retrieve My Password.
- Click See my password hint.
- Complete the following, and then click Submit:
- Username / Customer# — Enter your username or customer number.
- Street address on file — Enter the street address as it appears on your account.
- Enter the security access code displayed.
To Reset Your Password
- From the account log in page, click Retrieve My Password.
- Select Reset my password.
- Enter your Username / Customer#, Email address on file, and the security access code displayed.
- Click Submit.
We send an authorization code for resetting your password to the email address associated with your account. To continue, follow the instructions in the email message.
NOTE: The authorization code is only valid for 2 hours from the time it was sent. If the authorization code expires, or if you use it and the reset fails, you can obtain a new code to attempt to reset your password again.
