Setting up Email on Your BlackBerry z10

You can set up your BlackBerry z10 to work with your Workspace Email or Hosted Exchange Email plan.

NOTE: Before you begin, go to the Email Setup Center and log in with your email address and password to find your server settings. You will need this information during this setup process.

To Set Up Hosted Exchange Email on Your Blackberry z10

  1. On your Blackberry z10, tap the Settings icon to open your BlackBerry System Settings.
  2. On the System Settings screen, tap Accounts.
  3. On the Add Account screen, at the bottom of the screen, tap Advanced.
  4. On the Advanced Setup screen, tap Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
  5. On the Add Account screen, fill in the information for your email account. Your Username and Email Address are your email address and your Password is the password for your email account.

    NOTE: For your Port, we recommend using 443. For your Server Address, use one of the following, based on your Hosted Exchange email version.
    Exchange 2007 - mail.ex1.secureserver.net
    Exchange 2010 - mail.ex2.secureserver.net, mail.ex3.secureserver.net, or mail.ex4.secureserver.net

  6. Tap Next. The setup process for your email account is complete.

Optionally, you can enable synchronization for your folders.

To enable synchronization

  1. Tap the Settings icon to open your BlackBerry System Settings.
  2. On the System Settings screen, tap Accounts.
  3. On the Accounts screen, tap the email account you want to edit.
  4. On the Edit Account screen, tap Edit Folder Settings.
  5. On the Folders to Sync screen, slide the Sync All Email Folders toggle to On, and then use the checkboxes to enable or disable syncing for individual folders.
  6. At the bottom of the screen, tap Back to save your settings.

To Set Up Workspace Email on Your Blackberry z10

  1. On your Blackberry z10, tap the Settings icon to open your BlackBerry System Settings.
  2. On the System Settings screen, tap Accounts.
  3. At the bottom of the Add Account screen, tap Advanced.
  4. On the Advanced Setup screen, tap either IMAP or POP, depending on how you would like to set up your account. For more information see Making Sense of Email Clients: Desktop and Mobile.
  5. On the IMAP or POP screen, fill in the information for your email account. Your Username and Email Address are your email address and your Password is the password for your email account.

    NOTE: To find your Server address and Port, go to the Email Setup Center.

The set up is complete. However, if you are using IMAP, optionally, you can enable synchronization for your folders.

To enable synchronization

  1. Tap the Settings icon to open your BlackBerry System Settings.
  2. On the System Settings screen, tap Accounts.
  3. On the Accounts screen, tap the account you want to edit.
  4. On the Edit Account screen, tap Edit Folder Settings.
  5. On the Folders to Sync screen, slide the Sync All Email Folders toggle to On, and then use the checkboxes to enable or disable synchronization for your individual folders.
  6. At the bottom of the screen, tap Back to save your settings.
