Managing Renewals for Products and Services

At any time, you can manually renew your product or service using an existing or new payment method. You can also set your products or services to automatically renew on their expiration dates. Then, our billing system automatically renews the product using the payment method you selected and for a predetermined length of time.

Automatic Renewal

You can select whether or not you want us to automatically renew products on their expiration dates. The current automatic renewal option displays in the Auto Renew column for each product on the Product Billing page.

To Set Your Auto Renew Option

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Go to the Payments tab.
  3. Click Product Billing.
  4. In the Auto Renew column, for each of your products and services, click the toggle switch to turn Auto Renew on or off.

When the next billing cycle comes up for your products or services, (Billing dates are displayed in the Next Billing column.), we automatically renew them using the payment methods associated with each.

To Select Your Automatic Renewal Payment Method

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Go to the Payments tab.
  3. Click Product Billing.
  4. In the Payment Method column, use the drop-down menu to select an existing payment method for each product or service, or use the check boxes to select a product or service to edit, and then click Update Payment Method.

Manual Renewal

Manually renewing your products gives you greater control over the renewal.

To Manually Renew Products

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Go to the Renewals tab.
  3. Click to expand the section containing the items you want to renew (i.e., Expiring Domains or Expiring Products).
  4. Select the domains or products you want to renew, and then select a Renewal Length.

    NOTE: You can also enable or disable Auto Renew using the check boxes in the Auto-Renew column for each product.

  5. Click Continue.
  6. Optional: Click Customize your order to add other products or services to your order, and then click Continue.
  7. Complete the checkout process.

When you manually renew products, we associate the payment method you use with the products you renew. If you have products set to automatically renew, this means they renew using the payment method that you last used. However, you can update the payment method at any time.
