When using Simple Control Panel with a Cisco ASA 5505 hardware firewall, two processes may be affected: the external resolution of domains while running DNS, and the mapping of domain IP addresses through the firewall.

DNS

When setting up domains within Simple Control Panel, domains must be associated with the internal (10.x.x.x) IP addresses for your server. Your firewall automatically maps incoming requests on your external IP addresses to your internal (10.x.x.x) addresses. To configure Simple Control Panel DNS zone files, see Configuring Simple Control Panel DNS with Cisco ASA 5505 Hardware Firewall.

Websites

When setting up domains within Simple Control Panel, be sure to associate your domains with the internal (10.x.x.x) IP addresses for your server. During the domain setup wizard, you see a menu of all IP addresses on the server. When you select the appropriate address, your firewall will automatically map incoming requests on your external IP addresses to your internal (10.x.x.x) addresses.
