Using our hosting accounts, you can delete or edit databases you create.

To Manage Your Database

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Web Hosting.

Click one of the following, based on the type of hosting you have. You can tell this by the second word in your hosting's description beneath your hosting account's domain name, e.g. Deluxe Web correlates to Web/Classic (Hosting Control Panel).

Web/Classic (Hosting Control Panel)

  1. Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Manage.
  2. From the Databases menu, select the type of database you want to manage.
  3. From the Actions menu, click one of the following:
    • Details — View information about your database, such as its host name, and edit its details, such as resetting your password.
    • Back Up — Create backups of your database to protect against data loss. For more information, see Backing up and Restoring MySQL or MSSQL Databases
    • Restore — Restore a backup version of your database. Restoring a database replaces some or all of your existing database tables with a backed up version.
    • Delete — Remove the database and its content from your hosting account.

Linux (cPanel)

  1. Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Manage.
  2. In the Databases section, click MySQL Databases.
  3. From here you can:
    • Modify Databases including checking and repairing them.
    • Search databases to see which databases are on your hosting account, and Delete them.
    • Add New Users for your databases, or Add a User To Database.
    • View and modify your Current Users, including deleting them or changing their passwords.

Windows (Plesk)

  1. Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Manage.
  2. Click the database you want to use.
  3. Click any of the following:
    • Webadmin — Launch PHPMyAdmin for the database
    • Add New Database User — Create new users to access the database
    • Make a Copy — Creates a new database that's a copy of this one, or lets you copy its contents to an existing database

If you want to create a backup, see Backing up and Restoring MySQL or MSSQL Databases.
