Installing and Uninstalling FrontPage Extensions

Installing FrontPage Server Extensions lets you publish your website using Microsoft® FrontPage. FrontPage Extensions also support FrontPage's components like forms, hit counters, and forums. Install/re-install of FrontPage Extensions typically takes 10 minutes.

NOTE: Only Classic Hosting accounts running IIS6 support FrontPage Extensions. For more information, see What type of hosting account do I have?

To Install FrontPage Extensions on Your Existing Hosting Account

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Hosting.
  3. Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Manage.
  4. In the Settings section of the Hosting Control Panel, click the Front Page Extensions icon.
  5. To add FrontPage Extensions to your account, click Install FrontPage Extensions.
  6. Enter a FrontPage Email Address and click Continue.
  7. Review and verify your FrontPage Extensions settings. Remember, if you install FrontPage Extensions, you must use Microsoft FrontPage to create, edit, and update your website.
  8. If everything looks OK, click Submit.

To Uninstall FrontPage Extensions on Your Existing Hosting Account

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Hosting.
  3. Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Manage.
  4. In the Settings section of the Hosting Control Panel, click the Front Page Extensions icon.
  5. To uninstall FrontPage Extensions to your account, click Uninstall FrontPage Extensions.
  6. Verify that you want to uninstall FrontPage Extensions.
  7. If everything looks OK, click Submit.
