Connect to Your Server or Shared Hosting Account with SSH

After downloading and installing one of these clients, use the following settings to connect via SSH:

Field What to enter...
Host Name or IP Address Your account's domain name or IP address

Web & Classic / cPanel shared / Server
Port 22
Username Your account's primary username

Web & Classic / cPanel shared / Server
Password Your account's password

Web & Classic / cPanel shared / Server

NOTE: Once you have entered the host name or IP address and the port, open the connection. Once connected, you will be prompted for the user name and password.
