You can change your Managed WordPress account's domain name to use a different domain.
There are a few things to keep in mind:
- If you already added the domain name you want to use as your primary hosted domain name, you need to remove it first. You might also need to remove any subdomains of your primary domain name before you can change it. For more information, see Remove domains.
- If you have an SSL certificate applied to your hosting account, you cannot change your primary hosted domain name without revoking your SSL. For more information, see Revoking an SSL Certificate.
- You can find details about what we do to your Managed WordPress account when you change the domain name in What do you do when you change my Managed WordPress domain?
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Web Hosting.
- Log in to Gateway using your COMPANY_NAME login.
- Under the account whose domain you want to change, click Settings.
- Select or enter the domain you want to use, and then click Change Domain.
Next step
- After changing the domain name, you might want to update the domain name's DNS settings. You can locate those in Find your website's IP address (DNS).
