Database Compatibility and Value Applications

If the Value Applications application you install has a database incompatibility issue with your chosen hosting account, there could be a number of reasons why:

  • The required database is not available with your chosen hosting account operating system. Linux hosting plans, for example, do not support SQL Server databases. For information on migrating your hosting account to a new operating system, see Switching Your Hosting Account Operating System.
  • An empty database is not available in your account, due to the number currently in use by other value applications. You can add databases to your account by upgrading your hosting plan. For more information, see Upgrading or Downgrading Your Hosting Account.

NOTE: If a compatible database is available in your chosen hosting account but hasn't been set up, you can do so through the quick-install application install process.
