What are high-value domain names?

Every domain name is controlled by a particular company. For example, .guru is owned by a company called Donuts, while .meet is owned and controlled by Google.

As these and other new domains have entered the market, some companies have identified "high-value" domain names for sale at a higher price. So for example, a .training domain name may have a standard registration price of $39.99, but a name that’s likely to be in high demand like therapy.training could have a registration price of $139.99.

Some companies charge a higher price for just the first year of a premium registration. In these cases, the domain renews at the standard price.

All prices - both initial and renewal prices - are clearly displayed on GoDaddy’s search engine results page. You always know exactly what you’re going to pay for a particular domain.
