What software is installed on my Linux Virtual Private Server (VPS)?
The contents of your Virtual Private Linux server depends the Linux distribution you are using. Below is an overview of the packages deployed with your server, prior to optional control panel installation. Control panels such as cPanel, Simple Control Panel and Parallels Plesk Panel will alter the packages deployed. For more information, see:
All servers are deployed with yum and any vendor supplied package may be added to your system by typing:
where package name is the name of the package you would like to install.
The Linux rpm command can be used to list the packages that exist on your server. Its syntax is the following:
