The .photo extension will provide a distinct home for online photography portfolios to attract new clients and ensure ongoing business.

Beginning October 14, 2014, at 18:00 UTC, customers can register .photo domain names on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bulk .photo registration is supported during General Availability.

Who can register .photo domain names?

Anyone can register .photo domain names on a first-come, first-served basis.

These domain names can have up to 63 characters, with a minimum of one character, and can contain letters (a to z), numbers (0 to 9), and hyphens (except as the first or last characters of the domain name). You cannot register domain names with special characters such as & and #. IDNs (Internationalized Domain Names) in the following languages are supported: Cyrillic, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Which registry controls .photo domain names?

Uniregistry manages and supports the .photo domain extension.

For how long can I register .photo domain names?

You can register a .photo domain name for a minimum of one year and a maximum of 10 years.

When do .photo domain names renew?

We'll attempt to auto-renew your .photo domain name on its expiration date. We will park .photo domain names after the third failed billing attempt. If the domain name isn't renewed within 45 days following expiration, the domain name will be cancelled and removed from your account.

Can I transfer .photo domain names to my account with you?
