Accessing Your Hosted Exchange Email Mailbox with Windows Mobile 6

Mobile devices that have Active-Sync capabilities, can synchronize with your Outlook® calendar, address books, and folders. For more detailed information on mobile support see Exchange Server 2007 Support for Mobile Devices on Microsoft's web site.

To set up Windows Mobile 6® with your Hosted Exchange Email mailbox

  1. On your mobile device, in Windows Mobile 6, click Start, Messaging, New Email Account.
  2. In the Email Address field, enter your Hosted Exchange Email email address.
  3. Clear the checkbox for the Try to get email settings automatically from the Internet option. and then click Next.
  4. From the Your email provider menu, select Exchange server, click Next, and then click Next.
  5. In the Server address field, type mail.ex1.secureserver.net.
  6. Select This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection and then click Next.
  7. Complete the following:
    User Name
    Enter your email address.
    Password
    Enter your email password.
    Domain
    Leave this field blank.
  8. Select Save Password and then click Next.
  9. Select any or all of the data you want to synchronize from your Outlook account, including Contacts, Calendar, Email, and Tasks.
  10. Click Finish.
  11. When you receive the confirmation message, ALERT, Exchange Server mail.ex1.secureserver.net must enforce security policies on your device to continue synchronizing. Do you want to continue?, click OK.

When the synchronizing process is complete, you can access your Hosted Exchange Email mailbox from your mobile device.
