Completing Applications for .asia Domain Registrations

Depending on the group that you are affiliated with, such as a business applying for a trademarked name, you can complete an application for your .ASIA domain and submit it during the appropriate timeframe.

NOTE: You can submit applications only during the timeframe in which the type of domain you want to register is open. For more information, see What is .ASIA?

To Complete an Application for a Trademarked Name

  1. On our home page, in the Domain Name Search area, enter the domain, select .asia from the list, and then click Go.
  2. In the Application Type area, select the I am applying for option that best describes the registered trademark and/or relevant words from the registered class of the trademark:
    • I am applying for a name that is a registered trademark that was applied for prior to March 16, 2004.
    • I am applying for a name that is a registered trademark that was applied for prior to December 6, 2006.
    • I am applying for a name that contains a registered trademark and relevant words from the registered class of the trademark.
  3. Complete the following for the domain name you want to register:
    Registered Name
    Enter the full name of the entity, and, if you're applying for a domain that is a variation of your entity's name, include notes about the variation in parentheses.
    Registration Number
    Enter the number associated with the trademark of the entity for which you are registering the domain.
    Registration Country
    Select the country in which the entity is located.
    Application Date
    Select the month, day, and year on which the entity applied for trademark registration.
    Registration Date
    Select the month, day, and year on which the entity's trademark was approved.
    Registered Class
    Enter the class of the registered mark, according to the Nice Classification System. Nice classes are numbered from 1 to 45. This field is optional if you are applying for a name that is a registered trademark that was applied for prior to December 6, 2006.
    Nature of Entitlement
    Select the type of association you have with the trademark.
    Pre-Verification Number
    (Optional) If you received a pre-verification number from a DotAsia Verification Agent, enter the number.
  4. From the Select OPN Contact list, select the contact responsible for providing documentary evidence and who will receive reminders and auction notifications.
  5. From the Select CED Contact list, select the contact responsible for the domain. The CED contact must be from the Asia-Pacific region.
  6. From the Form of Entity list, select the entity type for the CED contact you selected.
  7. From the Form of Identification list, select the identification type that warrants the CED contact you selected is a legal entity in the Asia-Pacific region.
  8. In the Identification Number field, enter the number from the Form of Identification you selected.
  9. Click Continue.

To Complete an Application for the Same Name as My Registered Entity

  1. On our home page, in the Domain Name Search area, enter the domain, select .asia from the list, and then click Go.
  2. In the Application Type area, select I am applying for a name that is the same as my registered entity, and then complete the following:
    Registered Name
    Enter the full name of the entity, and, if you're applying for a domain that is a variation of your entity's name, include notes about the variation in parentheses.
    Registration Number
    Enter the number associated with the trademark of the entity for which you are registering the domain.
    Registration Country
    Select the country in which the entity is located.
    Application Date
    Select the month, day, and year on which the entity applied for registration.
    Registration Date
    Select the month, day, and year on which the entity was approved.
    Form of Entity
    Select the type of entity for which you are registering the domain.
    Nature of Entitlement
    Select the type of association you have with the company.
    Pre-Verification Number
    (Optional) If you received a pre-verification number from a DotAsia Verification Agent, enter the number.
