About Changing Web-Based Email Firewall Settings
If you are unable to read your email messages, firewall software settings may be preventing Web-Based Email from working properly. To utilize all the features of Web-Based Email, you may have to change your firewall or popup blocker security settings. If you have one of the following security software programs, go to the instructions and adjust your settings.
- To change settings for Norton Internet Security, see Changing Norton Security Settings to Allow Web-Based Email.
- To change settings for eTrust EZ Firewall Internet Security, see Changing eTrust EZ Firewall to Allow Web-Based Email.
- To change settings for ZoneAlarm, see Changing ZoneAlarm Security Settings to Allow Web-Based Email.
- To change settings for Kerio Internet Security Software, see Changing Kerio Software to Allow Web-Based Email.
- To change settings for The Proxomitron, see Changing Proxomitron to Allow Web-Based Email.
If you are operating another firewall or popup blocker program, adjust the settings to allow popup blockers from Web-Based Email or add http://email.secureserver.net to your list of approved sites.
NOTE: Using your account in SSL mode may allow Web-Based Email to operate fully, without adjusting your firewall security settings. To turn on full-time SSL mode, select Use Full-time SSL Mode from the Other tab in Display Settings.
After you change your firewall security settings, you need to clear your browser's cache.
NOTE: To clear your browser's cache, log out of your Web-Based Email account and any other open windows.
