Organize and target your subscribers' interests appropriately by creating public or private interest groups. You can send targeted campaign mailings to subscribers who belong to a specific interest group.

Public interest group categories display on the sign-up form, which allows your customers to determine the categories they're interested in when they sign up. You can also assign subscribers to interest group categories from the subscription management pages. For example, an equipment retailer might create interest groups for skiers, snowboarders, and mountain bikers.

You create private interest groups to organize subscribers into a "VIP" list, such as regular customers who purchased from you within the last six months. Private interest group categories are not disclosed to the subscriber at any time. They can be used to manage campaign mailing distribution through a grouping of selected subscribers.
