Adding a Pre-Built Page to Your Site

With the Pre-Built page feature in WebSite Tonight, you can easily select from a list a specially designed pages and choose the one that best suits you needs. Pre-built pages include page layout elements and real content, designed to guide you through building the Web site you want. If you already have built a site and want to try this feature, you can easily restart your site and select a pre-built site from the Web Site information page. It is recommended that you backup your existing site during this process. For information about designing your template, see Restarting Your Web Site.

To Add a Pre-Built Page.

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. From the Design menu, click Page Designer.
  3. If necessary, from the You are editing list, select the page you want to edit.
  4. Go to the Page tab, and then select Add Page.
  5. In the Select Page Type section, select Pre-Built Page.
  6. From the Site Type list, select the type of Site you are building.

    Tip: If you don't find the type of site you are building in the Site Type list, you can select a type that might work for you. For example, a small business site type might work for a family reunion site. You can preview the layout of your selected site type in the Page Layout area.

  7. From the Page list, select what type of page you want to add. From the Page Layout area, you can view the layout of your selected page type.
  8. In the Enter Page Title field, enter a title for your page.
  9. To allow WebSite Tonight to automatically reset the navigation buttons on your Web site pages to reflect changes you made on the Organize Site page, select Reset page navigation.

    NOTE: This will overwrite any settings or subnavigation you may have added from the Edit Navigation page.

  10. Click OK.

Note: You can change the content of any page you add, at any time.
