Inserting Music and Video Files

With WebSite Tonight you can add music and video files to your Web page. There is a 30mb limit for each upload (10mb for photos). If you have a significant amount of data to upload to WebSite Tonight, you can upload as many times as necessary. You should be aware not to exceed the disc space and bandwidth allocated to your WebSite Tonight account.

To Insert Music Files

Note: It is recommended that you only upload files with a sample rate of 11.025, 22.050, or 44.1 kHz, and a bit rate of 32,64,96,128,160, or 196. You cannot add music files to a mobile page.

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. From the Design menu, click Page Designer .
  3. If necessary, from the You are editing list, select the page you want to add the music file to.
  4. Click the block you want to add your file to. Blocks are outlined in blue.
  5. Position your cursor where you want to add the file.
  6. Go to the Insert tab and select Music.
  7. Select from one of the following:
    Select an Audio Clip
    To use one of WebSite Tonight's audio files select a clip from the list. To preview the clip, click the play button.
    Select an MP3 File
    Select a file from the list. If you have not uploaded the file you want to add, click Browse, and then locate and open the file. Click Upload Files.
    Enter the URL to the MP3 File
    To use an MP3 file from another Web site, enter the URL where the file resides.
    Autostart this file
    Music begins playing when page is loaded.
    Loop this file
    Music file repeats until stopped or visitor leaves page.
  8. Select the player you want to use.
  9. Click OK.

To Insert a Video

Note: Videos don't display in Preview mode.

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. From the Design menu, click Page Designer .
  3. If necessary, from the You are editing list, select the page you want to edit.
  4. Click the block you want to edit. Blocks are outlined in blue.
  5. Position your cursor where you want to add the date.
  6. Go to the Insert tab and select Video.
  7. Insert a video by doing one of the following:
    Select a Video File
    Select a file from the list. If you have not uploaded the file you want to add, click Browse,and then locate and open the file. Click Upload Files.
    Enter a URL to the Video File
    To use a file from another Web site, enter the URL where the file resides.
    Autostart this file
    Video begins playing when page is loaded.
    Loop this file
    Video file repeats until stopped or visitor leaves page.
  8. Click the Properties tab.
  9. In the Width and Height fields, specify the width and height you want to use to display the video.
  10. Click OK.

Note: WebSite Tonight supports .mpg, .avi, and .wmv file formats. You cannot add video files to a mobile page. This feature is not available with the free version of WebSite Tonight. You are welcome to upgrade to the paid version to gain use of all of the product's features.
