Managing Quick Blogcast Tags

Quick Blogcast tags help visitors find your blog posts and provide a way of organizing your blog posts beyond categories. Tags complement categories. While you may have a few main categories, you'll likely have many different tags that describe various aspects of a category.

The Manage Tags page lists all the tags used in the selected blogcast site. From this page, you can view tags, view entries associated with a tag, create a new tag, and delete tags.

You can add new tags on the Manage Tags page, or you can add a new tag as you are creating a new entry.

NOTE: You cannot use special characters in your tag name, but you can use a period (.).

To Create a New Tag from the Manage Tags Page

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Blog menu, select Tags.
  5. Under Add New Tag, enter a new tag name.
  6. Click Save Tag.

The new tag displays in the Tag list.

To Create a New Tag When Creating an Entry

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Entries page, select New Entry.
  5. From the expandable menu on the left, select Tags.
  6. Enter the name of your new tag.
  7. Click Add.

The new tag displays in the Tag list.

To Delete Tags

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Blog menu, select Tags.
  5. In the Tag List, select the checkbox(es) for the Tag(s) you want to delete.
  6. Click the Delete button.

A notification that the selected tag was deleted displays above the Tag list.

To View Your Tag List

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Blog menu, select Tags.

In the Tag list, you can select how many tags you want to display on each page. Select to display 10, 20, 50, or 100 listings per page. If there is more than one page, you can select a different page from the page number menu.

To View the Entries Associated with a Tag

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Blog menu, select Tags.
  5. Click the tag name to open the Manage Entries page. The Entries list automatically sorts to display the entries associated with the selected tag.
