Viewing the Goal Report

A goal is the final destination page you want your visitors to view. Each goal has a pathway of pages leading to the destination page. The Goal Report displays summary information for all the pages in your pathway.

To View the Goal Report

  1. From the Reports menu, select Page Reports.
  2. From the Page Reports list, select Goals.
  3. From the Goal Reports list, select your goal name.
  4. View the following summary information for each page in your goal pathway:
    Step #
    The order of the page in the path to the goal.
    Page
    The page name within the site.
    New Entries
    The number of visitors that entered the pathway to your goal on this page.
    Exits
    The number of visitors that exited the pathway to your goal from this page.
    Total Hits
    The number of new entries plus the number of visits from the previous page on the pathway.
    Bounces
    The number of visitors that entered and then exited the page.
    Users Continuing
    The number of visitors that exited the page and then went to the next page in the pathway.
  5. To view the details for the Goal Page, click the page name. A goal chart for that page displays. The chart that page displays the following:
    From Site
    The number of visitors who entered the page from your Web site.
    To Off-Site
    The number of visitors who exited your Web site at that page.
    From Off-Site
    The number of visitors who entered the page from a source other than your Web site.
    To Site
    The number of visitors went to another page on your site.
    Total Hits
    The total number of visits to the page from both on-site and off-site entrances.
    Average Time on Page
    The average amount of time visitors stayed on the page.
    On Path to
    The number of visitors that exited the page and then went to the next page on the pathway.
  6. To return to the Goal Report, click Return to Summary View.
