What MX records do I use if I am hosting my domain with another provider?

If you are not hosting your domain with us, but are using an email account purchased through us, you must update your MX records with your hosting provider to the following:
Required
- MX0
- smtp.secureserver.net
- MX10
- mailstore1.secureserver.net
Optional
- CNAME
- mail.yourdomain.com mapped to pop.secureserver.net
(Required if you are using Outlook or another email client.) - CNAME
- email.yourdomain.com mapped to email.secureserver.net
(Required if you are Web-Based Email.)
Where yourdomain.com is your domain name.
Hosted Exchange Email
Use the following MX Records for Exchange:
Note: These MX Records are specific to users who use our Hosted Exchange Email and are hosted through a separate provider.
- MX0
- presmtp.ex1.secureserver.net
- CNAME
- OWA.yourdomain.com mapped to mail.ex1.secureserver.net
- CNAME
- autodiscover.yourdomain.com mapped to autodiscoverredirect.ex1.secureserver.net
Note: If you do not create the email.yourdomain.com CNAME record, you can still log in to Web-Based Email at http://email.secureserver.net.
