Plesk automatically creates a DNS zone when you create a domain. However, Plesk administrators can customize DNS zones for their own domains.

CAUTION: 99% of the time, you will not need to modify your DNS zones. Be very careful when making changes to your zone file. Improper DNS setup can make you Web site, email, and FTP services unavailable.

To View and Manage the Zone File for a Specific Domain

  1. Log in to Plesk as an Admin.
  2. From the list of domains at the bottom of the page, click on the domain name you want to work with.
  3. Under the Services group, click the DNS button. The DNS Zone Properties screen displays.

From the DNS Zone Properties screen, you can add/remove zone records, change zone types, or turn off the local DNS service for your domain.
