Installing Tomcat on Your Windows Virtual Dedicated Hosting Account

Tomcat is an application server used to execute Java code contained both in Java servlets and Web pages.

To Install Tomcat on Your Windows Virtual Dedicated Hosting Account

  1. Remote desktop to your hosting account.
  2. From your hosting server's Start Menu, select Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
  3. Select Plesk for Microsoft Windows and click Change.
  4. Click Next.
  5. In the list box, select Tomcat.
  6. In the popup menu, select Entire component will be installed on local hard drive.
  7. Click Next to confirm installation.
  8. Click Next to begin installation.

To Confirm Tomcat Installation on Your Windows Virtual Dedicated Hosting Account

  1. From your hosting server's Start Menu, select All Programs > SWsoft > Plesk > Plesk for Microsoft Windows.
  2. Enter your Plesk login and password, and then click Login.
  3. Under the System panel, click Server.
  4. Under Services, double-click Service Management.
  5. Confirm Tomcat is running as a Plesk service.
